    Put this in your personal crontab ('crontab -e'). My (personal)
    crontab entry looks like
      # rotate personal logs
      @daily /usr/sbin/logrotate --state $HOME/etc/logrotate.status $HOME/etc/logrotate.conf

    It works well.
