Strange idesk-problem

I have this strange problem where idesk crashes if I try to drag an
icon. It starts ok, I can click the icons -- but if I try to drag them,
it crashes.
When started from shell it says:
"Can't load: /usr/local/share/idesk/icons/gaim.png bailing -- Gaim
Check to see if the image and path to image is valid"
... for each image/icon.
When I drag an icon I get a lot of
"IMLIB ERROR: Cannot allocate RAM for XImage data
IMLIB ERROR: SHM can't get SHM Identifier for Shared Pixmap Wrapper
Falling back on Shared XImages"
and lastly
"Segmentation fault"
Is this a imlib problem, or a idesk problem, or might there be some
problem with the images? Other software shows them fine, no problems...
Idesk *has* worked. It's only now, after about a month of usage, that
this problem has appeared ...
Any ideas/solutions?
