Hi all-
I'm running unstable/Knoppix3.3 on a pretty recent set up; I got the
most recent nvidia driver last night and successfully installed it
(following the instructions; I did rename /usr/lib/tls to tls.OLD, as
suggested on a thread somewhere). Things worked well: I was able to play
the UT2004 demo right away. I rebooted my computer, and now I get the
following error:
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual
This happens if I try running glxgears, ut2004demo, etc. I didn't edit
my XF86Config between installing the driver, rebooting and trying to run
GLX programs...and I'm fairly confused as to what I should do. My config
file is all in order...I get the NVIDIA splash screen when I run startx,
the desktop looks fine, etc, which suggests that the module is loaded
alright.
Any ideas? I can post my XF86Config file and glxinfo output, but I don't
want to take space up; can on request.
Thanks much!
Will Maier
