I've been trying to install some TTF Greek fonts in debian. I got them from my windows/fonts folder.
As a normal user, when I try to use this one font I added with defoma, abiword crashes. OpenOffice.org doesn't even list the font. If I run as root, abiword doesn't crash with that same font, and OpenOffice.org lists that font and 4 other greek fonts that I have sitting in a directory that is not loaded by X. Those fonts are also no in defoma. Anyone know why I might be having these problems? I've spent about 3-4 hours trying to figure this out. I've read a couple how-to's on installing TTF fonts.
    Thanks,
    Bob
