    Hi Didar.
You have to tell it to upgrade kernel specifically.
If you run apt-get install kernel-image you'll get an error-message saying
that you have to pick the one to install, this allso lists the
    possibilities:

    debian:~# apt-get install kernel-image

Package kernel-image is a virtual package provided by:

      kernel-image-2.4.25-1-386 2.4.25-3
You should explicitly select one to install.
E: Package kernel-image has no installation candidate
    debian:~#

So if you're running a pentium II or above you just run:

    apt-get install kernel-image-2.4.26-1-686

or whatever kernel is appropriate for your machine :)

    Hope this helps.
