    I have a digital camera and I agree with this. I've never bothered to
    hook the camera up to try gphoto. I just put the cards in the card
    reader and copy the jpg files to my hard drive.

    Anyway, I have an Olympus C750 (now discontinued, I think). The *only*
    thing I don't like about it is the crappy wrist strap, but I believe
    the models that have superseded it have a proper neck strap.
