    ('binary' encoding is not supported, stored as-is) I compile my own kernel and replace it following the
    instructions at:
    "10.3 Replacing the Rescue Floppy Kernel".

    Then I create the root floppy with the following
    instruction:

    myserver # dd if=root.bin of=/dev/fd0 bs=1k conv=sync ;
    sync
    1440+0 records in
    1440+0 records out
    myserver #

    After this I use the rescue floppy and it was load into
    ram ok.

    When the rescue floppy ask me to insert the root disk I
    insert the one that I
    create, then it found the image at block 0 an start the
    load, but it sends me a
    black screen and do anything after that.

    THE LAST LINES OF THE BOOT MESSAGE ARE:
    ramdisk: incomplete write (-28 != 32768) 41944304
    ext2-fs warning: check time reached running e2fsk is
    recommended.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    KERNEL VERSION WHICH REPLACE THE RESCUE ONE: 2.6.7
    RESCUE IMAGE: .../current/images-1.44/bf2.4/rescue.bin
    ROOT IMAGE: .../current/images-1.44/bf2.4/root.bin

    I include my .config file with this email.

    I need to use the kernel 2.6.7 because the old ones
    does not have support for my
    hardware.

    I will appreciate any help.

    Regards
    Sergio Basurto.
