Hello All,
I've just installed Suse 9.1 Pro on a Dell latitude D505 Laptop. KDE and
GNOME both start and run with a slight issue. The desktop environments
are huge. The icons on the desktop are about 1.5 inches long. The menu
and task bars are an inch high, and the windows are HUGE. Is there
anything I can do to XFree86 to fix this (I assume that is where the
issue is because both destop environments are that way)? I'm using the
2.6 kernel, XFree86 4.3.99, GNOME 2.4, KDE 3.2, & BIOS A6.
The install process for XFree86 detected my video card as Intel
855 GM (i810), my monitor as unknown 15-31 kHz/ 30-61 Hz, resolutions
640x480, and color depth as 16 bits.
Thank you.
