Before I created this mess, I was running the 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel.
I tried the rescue.bin and root.bin floppies from the Debian site
but I was not able to boot w/ them. I was able to boot w/ the 2.2.
20-compact floppies however.
Now, using 2.2.20-compact, I cannot get the Netgear FA311 NIC working
and the tulip module will not load. I still have the /lib/modules/2.
4.18-bf2.4 directory intact.
Considering I can boot on that machine w/ the 2.2.20-compact kernel,
and the only way I can get code onto it is via floppy at this point
(unless I can get tulip to load which is dismal), and I have an intact
/lib/modules/2.4.18-bf2.4 dir, can I get only the files:
boot/System.map-2.4.18-bf2.4
boot/config-2.4.18-bf2.4
boot/vmlinuz-2.4.18-bf2.4
from the package, save them to floppy individually, put them on the
other machine, change lilo.conf to reflect the 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel,
run lilo and reboot to the 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel? If so, how can I
get only the three files from the package I wish?
