    Don't forget closed- and semi-closed source apps/libs like:
    - w32codecs
    - Sun Java
    - acroread
    - Flash
    - RealPlayer 10

    Some of these have acceptable FLOSS alternatives, but others
    don't.

    This is also why AMD64 - in 64-bit mode - isn't the best thing
    for many desktop users yet.
