    Hello all,

    runing unstable debian on hppa boxes and development kernels (2.6.10...11-rc), I encounter following pb with top:
    (since 2.6.10-pa7)
    top - 13:12:49 up 58 min, 2 users, load average: 1.00, 1.03, 1.20
    Tasks: 54 total, 1 running, 53 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
    Cpu0 : 1.4% us, 0.0% sy, 0.0% ni, 0.0% id, 0.0% wa, 98.6% hi, 0.0% si
    Mem: 512864k total, 508144k used, 4720k free, 448268k buffers
    Swap: 131832k total, 0k used, 131832k free, 9856k cached

    in place of such (with 2.6.10-pa6):

    top - 14:42:23 up 3 min, 2 users, load average: 0.53, 0.56, 0.25
    Tasks: 47 total, 1 running, 46 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
    Cpu(s): 1.0% us, 1.3% sy, 0.0% ni, 97.4% id, 0.3% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si
    Mem: 512828k total, 50900k used, 461928k free, 3656k buffers
    Swap: 131832k total, 0k used, 131832k free, 27888k cached

    This pb occures during the transition from 2.6.10-pa6 to pa7 when:
    "Log message:
            2.6.10-pa7:

            Switch to generic IRQ code
    [...]
    "
    I so tried to use current kernel header:
    /usr/include/asm -> /usr/src/linux-2.6.10-p10/include/asm (-> /usr/src/linux-2.6.10-p10/include/asm-parisc)
    /usr/include/linux -> /usr/src/linux-2.6.10-p10/include/linux

    (after the build of the kernel)

    to recompile procps dpkg; unfortunately it doesn't help.

    What did I missed? Any idea?

    Thanks in advance,
            Joel

    PS0: same pb in 32 or 64bit up or smp kernels;

    PS1: Why /dev/null become a file during the build of the package???

    PS2: how can I change localy this:

    "Cpu(s): 1.0% us, 1.3% sy, 0.0% ni, 97.4% id, 0.3% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si"

    into something like:
    " CPU USER SYS NICE ....
         0 1.0% 1.3% 0.0% ...."
