Hi all,
I have a more or less curious problem here:
I do logrotate my logfiles via logrotate, even the mai.* logfiles. But
something is wrong there:
After a few days the mail.* files are looking thins way:
/var/log/mail.info
/var/log/mail.info.1
/var/log/mail.info.1.1
/var/log/mail.info.1.1.1
/var/log/mail.info.1.1.1.1
/var/log/mail.info.1.1.1.1.1
/var/log/mail.info.1.1.1.1.1.1
/var/log/mail.info.1.1.1.2.gz
/var/log/mail.info.1.1.2.gz
/var/log/mail.info.1.1.2.gz.1
/var/log/mail.info.1.2.gz
/var/log/mail.info.1.2.gz.1
/var/log/mail.info.1.2.gz.1.1
/var/log/mail.info.1.3.gz
/var/log/mail.info.2.gz
Does anyone of you know where this comes from? I've searched my config
over and over and it seems to me that some script besides logrotate is
rotating these files, too. But I still can't find this script.
Thanks in advance,
J
