This sounds more like a howto search the internet thread,
then reinventing the wheel. Think about it, seriously a lot
of people do not know how to search the internet, all they
do in plug in some words into google and expect the
    unexpected.

This site will give anyone a good start into what you can do
with a search engine. Also when was the last time you looked
up other search methods on googles site, their is a lot of good information
    their, site search, etc etc.

Now if you are using all these methods and still cannot find
the tips and tricks you require then I apologize. I
personally can find pretty much any thing I need, its just a
matter of finding the right search terms. Now if your
interested in books about tips and tricks have you looked up
Unix Power Tools, which has tons of good suggestions. Also
once in a while I will thumb through the Debian reference
manual, I always seem to find something that is useful.
