XMMS only runs under KDE

    I am running Sid.

    XMMS runs fine under KDE, but does not even start under Gnome as a regular
    user. If I try to start it from a console window, it just exits immediately
    without any output at all. But, if I run it as root, it runs under Gnome.

    How do I troubleshoot this issue?
