Gaim in Testing

    Hi,

    since I updated gaim to the latest version in testing, I can not connect
    to the ICQ network.

    The changelog mentioned the following change:
         - Apply patch from upstream CVS which should fix ICQ authentication
           problems with passwords greater than 8 characters. (Closes: #301072)

    At first I had a 12 character password, which I changed to a 8 character
    one using the woody version of gaim. I can use this version to connent,
    and centericq also connects fine with the 8 character password, but not
    the gaim in testing.

    Did anybody experience a similar problem today?
