| With a recent upgrade, my sound stopped working on reboot. Running
| alsaconf fixes it every time, but it doesn't "stick" across reboots.
|
| There are no errors when the sound doesn't work--I just can't hear
| anything. The volume is turned up, and nothing is muted. The proper
| modules are loaded--in fact, the same modules are reloaded by alsaconf.
|
| Actually, I can achieve the same effect (fixing the sound) by removing
| the modules and reloading them, and then turning the mixer back up.
|
| The two modules are snd_intel8x0 and snd_ac97_codec.
|
| Does this sound familiar? Any hints?
Hi Adam,
Try # alsactl store
Also make sure pcm hasn't been set to 0.
