    sysv-rc-conf, if you use Sarge or Sid.

    Btw, if you use update-rc.d (or rcconf) to remove all the symlinks, they
    will be automatically recreated by the postinst script when the package
    is upgraded. Better only remove the start link for your default
    runlevel.
