mysql-server-4.1 and exim4 interdependency

Hi,

I'm using 3.1 stable.

When I add mysql-server-4.1, exim4 is added. When I try to remove exim4,
mysql-server-4.1 is removed.

I see that this happens because mysql-server depends on mailx, and mailx
depends on exim4.

I just wondered why these interdependencies exist.
