Hi all,
I have installed Debian Sarge...
After that, I have removed the kernel-image package and I have installed
the kernel-source-2.6.8-16 package.
I have configured and built the kernel with the command #make all
modules_install install
Now when I start my computer this line appears on my syslog
Sep 21:00:42 test kernel: No module symbols loaded - kernel modules not enabled
This is the section on my .config file about the "kernel module support".
# Loadable module support
#
CONFIG_MODULES=y
CONFIG_MODULE_UNLOAD=y
# CONFIG_MODULE_FORCE_UNLOAD is not set
CONFIG_OBSOLETE_MODPARM=y
# CONFIG_MODVERSIONS is not set
CONFIG_KMOD=y
CONFIG_STOP_MACHINE=y
I have already checked that the System.map-2.6.8 file is in the /boot
directory and that there is a symbolic link System.map poiting to
System.map-2.6.8
Can you help me to delete this message on my log???
Thanks
Marco
