quota activation problem

    Hi,
     
     I have installed quota,quota tool whenever i am trying to swithon quota i am getting following error
     
    debian:/etc# quotaon -avug
    quotaon: using //aquota.group on /dev/hda2 [/]: No such process
    quotaon: Quota format not supported in kernel.
    quotaon: using //aquota.user on /dev/hda2 [/]: No such process
    quotaon: Quota format not supported in kernel.
    Quota version 3.12-6
    quotatool 1.4.7-1
    Debian 3.1
