Nice idea, but:
rasputnik@hypnotoad:~$ ldd `which dpkg`
linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0xb7ea6000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7feb000)
theal - can you pull the disk? If so, rsync (or cp) /lib from some
other debian box onto it.
