I installed smartmontools, set in /etc/default/smartmontools
enable_smart="/dev/hda"
start_smartd=yes
I will try now to run 2 tests:
# smartctl -C -t short /dev/hda
# smartctl -C -t long /dev/hda
and later on will send the results.
But right now I already checked # smartctl -a /dev/hda
I attach smartctl.txt with the output.
>From the output it seems like it's failing. Why the tests that I ran
earlier today in the BIOS were successful and didn't indicate any
problem?
Then what is the final verdict? Throw the hard drive away?
