Even renaming of ~/.mozilla is not required. You can start the profile
manager using the command
~$ mozilla -P&
and then create anew file and use that. See if the errors exist. If they
don't you just have corrupted profile. If they still do, you will have
to remove mozilla.
BTW, what are the errors you are getting?
