AIUI, there are two problems at least

    (1) someone (probably ignorantly) subscribed in a way which causes
this challenge/response "anti SPAM" facility to send these messages,

    (2) UOL is stripping the information necessary to find out who did
this, so the listmaster *can't* know which account to scrub.

The two problems work together to create a balls-up, but they
require different solutions, don't you think?

You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
