[Chrony} doesn't seem to talk through IP-masquerading.
It does for me (I'm the Chrony maintainer). What is your configuration?
Dead, I'm afraid -- I was describing the state of affairs before mu
gateway was broken into last December, and I wiped my gateway machine
clean to prevent further trouble for myself and others. I seem to
recall that at the time I tried running chrony through masquerading the
gateway machine was running woody. It could be that masquerading back
then wasn't handling the relevant port(s) properly? Even if I were to
look at my forensic backup. it would only tell me what was up after I
stopped trying to symch everything with the outside world.
Anyway, it's more important to me that my machines are properly synched
with each other than with the rest of the world, so I think this
two-stage approach is probably the one I want.
By the way, chrony is great. Thanks.
Would it help to see my old masquerading configuration, hand-built with
iptables?
