If you are talking about a personal firewall for your PC, have alook at Guarddog. It configures IPtables, so you only need to run it to configure or reconfigure the firewall. Its a KDE program, but runs in Gnome with no problems. Its also easy. Have a look at http://newbiedoc.berlios.de/wiki/Setting_up_a_personal_firewall_on_Debian_using_Guarddog
