I think I've figured out how to get Evolution to work
without using imap.
Using IMAP is definitely useful, though, since it breaks the link
between data and presentation.

This is what I'm aiming for, but I don't really understand why IMAP
needs to be in there. I'd like to use Evolution as a local GUI and mutt
remotely, on the same maildir. I shouldn't really need to have
something else between the MUA and maildir.

I'm sure it's not *needed*, since fetchmail/postfix/spamassassin/
maildrop doesn't even mention IMAP... :)

The Courier people do an excellent job of manipulating Maildirs.
And since IMAP, *is* a standard Access Protocol, and I'm a Linux
kinda guy, I use an open standard method of accessing mail!

Gosh, I feel so morally superior.

Is "common sense" really valid?
For example, it is "common sense" to white-power racists that
whites are superior to blacks, and that those with brown skins
are mud people.
However, that "common sense" is obviously wrong.
