pdfbox compilation on debian/etch (Could not create task or type of type: propertyfile.)

Hello,

Has anyone tried to build pdfbox on a debian/etch system ?
Steps:

( get PDFBox-0.7.3.zip from the sf.net mirror)
$ unzip PDFBox-0.7.3.zip
$ cd PDFBox-0.7.3
$ ant
<...>
package:

BUILD FAILED
/tmp/PDFBox-0.7.3/build.xml:163: Could not create task or type of
type: propertyfile.

Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.

Looking on the web, I need a recent version of ant. Which I do:

$ ant -version
Apache Ant version 1.6.5 compiled on July 1 2006

Other infos:
$ javac -version
Eclipse Java Compiler v_677_R32x, 3.2.1 release, Copyright IBM Corp
2000, 2006. All rights reserved.
