you may have to remap the drives for windows. It doesn't like being on
anything but the first partition of the first drive (kind of a prima
dona that way...).

map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)

in the stanza for booting windows would fool it into thinking it was
on the first hd.

Yes. You just need to tell it the device name of the partition on the
new hard drive you want to boot. Did you want to install another
version of Linux on the second drive or windows?
