I was wondering if anyone has had any success at setting up a Dell 1815
Laser Printer? I did a quick search of the archives and could not come
up with anything and I wasn't able to locate any drivers by doing a
google search. Is there a generic driver that I could attempt to use?
Any other suggestions?
Check your documentation, if your printer supports "postscript" or
"PCL". If Yes, then choose the 'postscript' driver or 'ljet4'
respectively (or something similar).
If not, then maybe you're out of luck, since your model also does not
appear on http://www.linuxprinting.org/printer_list.cgi
Check the driver CD for your printer for any file that is a plain
asci-file and ends in .ppd [1] This file will be the main
'configuration' file to be copied to /etc/cups/ppd during installation.
