| I once ran Apache, Postfix, Dnsmasq, mysql,Squid and Dansguardian on an
| old IBM box that had a Pentium MMX 166 and 96MB memory and a 5 GB hard
| disk. IBM called these machines "Aptiva" and they put them on the market
| soon after Windows 95 was released.
| It was functioning as DHCP server, gateway, transparent proxy and web
| filter for a LAN of about 40 PCs.
| It had Etch (when it was still testing) and ran without any problems
| until the hard disk died several months ago.
| The 2 changes I did to that box was to add memory and add a second
| cheapo PCI NIC.

I bought a vigor, used for around $100, for my sons first pc, god I cant

its p2, 333 mhz, 128k upgraded to 768mb ram, 300 gig drive, 4 pci, 1
agp. this thing has been my "server" for about 4 years now. running
etch, 3 websites, print server, etc. this thing has been rock solid,
and as long as ive owned it, has never crashed. (cept for win 98 lol)
