I guess it just depends on whether you need to use it or not. I've
been using Linux of various flavours for about seven years and never
even noticed this command before this post! :o)

I first noticed it back in the Mandrake 7.0 days. Year 2002, or
maybe 2001. Freaked me out, too.

Ah well...

/me wonders just how much more he has to learn before he thinks that he
knows a reasonable amount about Linux...

Very few people are true, complete *ix gurus anymore...
