Hi all.
I am trying to install the 'gspca' driver for a Logitech webcam but
compiling from source fails and I could not find any debian package
containing that module.
Any ideas?
All the recent Sid kernels should include the gspca modules. To check
for your kernel, see
ls /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/media/video/gspca/
I am facing a similar situation: attempting to set up a
webcam under sid. Not succeeding in getting any display yet.
2.6.26 doesn't have gspca, but 2.6.29 does.
I've tried
- two webcams
- amd64 and 486 kernels
- camorama and skype
If you need more help with getting your camera working then we have to
see the relevant part of your "lsusb" output.
Both cameras are recognized, creating /dev/video0.

Skype lists no video devices with either camera, either
kernel.
Here is the output of camorama, which defaults to /dev/video0
