Why? I'm not saying this is the case, but he might not even realise the
disclaimer is added to his mail.

He/she knows by now --- and the list is sending the mails you sent to
it back to you.

Many other posters on this list don't say thanks, do you want to flame

respond to a mail I sent her/him with some answer and a suggestion to
remove the disclaimer.

Do you have any proof your mail actually arrived?

It depends on what you consider as "proof". I didn't get a delivery
error message, so there is nothing else as to assume that it did
arrive.
