Can anyone tell me against which package to file a bug about this? I
really don't know whose job this is supposed to be...
You have not provided enough data. Your environment, how/what it
manages the power settings of your screen or if you have set a specific
power- saving profile in place... do matter alot :-)
Right, sorry. I hope the above aditional info will help narrow things
down. I don't use any power manager (gnome-power-manager or the like).
Also, the video card on this machine is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200
which I'm using with the proprietary fgrx driver.
[openbox, wheezy and screen brightness can be set manually]
Thanks for the info :-)
Okay, I don't know how Openbox manages this, but I would start from here:
http://openbox.org/wiki/Power_management
