Hello,
I am having trouble making ACPI work on my Inspiron 8500.
1)I have acpi=on in my grub.conf.
2) kernel version: kernel-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl
3) acpi rpm:
[root@insomnia fs]# rpm -q -a | grep acpi
acpid-1.0.2-5
When I do "modprobe ac" I get this error:
[root@insomnia fs]# modprobe ac
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/kernel/drivers/acpi/ac.o: init_module:
No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/kernel/drivers/acpi/ac.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/kernel/drivers/acpi/ac.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/kernel/drivers/acpi/ac.o: insmod ac
failed
Any ideas?
Thank you !
