I'm using a old script that on samba-2.x may be execute correctly.
But with doesn't with samba-3.0.0-15 (default installed with fedora-core-1).

The command script is like this:

    smbtar -v -s [PCNAME] -x [SHARE] -u [user] -p [password] -t ./file.tar

Using samba-3.0.0-15 a can see an error message like this:

    server is [PCNAME]
    share is [SHARE]\\

    tape is ./file.tar
