    Add "Load "v4l"" to the modules section of /etc/X11/XF86Config, if it's
    not already in there.

    Maybe you'll need to install xawtv-tv-fonts-3.88-6 (from CD 3)

    Does "xawtv -noxv" work?

    Which graphics driver do you use? After installing the nvidia drivers I
    had to update to xawtv-3.90-1 (from Dag Wieers repo, see:
    http://dag.wieers.com/packages/xawtv/ )

    BTW: I'm using TVtime now: Incredible picture Quality! See:
