I had such combination too, but after comparing both, I prefer amavisd (speed
mainly) and now sleep better than before. I miss some features in
Mailscanner, but amavisd integrates better to MTAs (no external program is
messing with your mail queue). You only have to survive reading amavisd.conf
file.
