Compiling a new Kernel.

    Ok, so it was suggested to me to have a go at compiling an SMP kernel
    from the source's from kernel.org.. I was told to get the FC .config
    file to use with the kernel.org source..

    Where would I find the .config file? and once I have it where do I put it?

    ( I am sure its pretty obvious I have not done this before )
