    I think the main sensible reason is that the people with the answers
    don't like it so if you want an answer then don't annoy them.

    From my point of view I don't care but the fact that an html email is
    normally at least twice as big as plain text, and I get between 100 and
    300 emails a day from this list might make some kind of sense.
