Hi,
I'm having an odd problem with my toshiba satellite 2410 laptop w/Fedora FC1. Nvidia video driver.
The first time I turn on the laptop, it boots normally, displays the login screen and I log in successfuly. After the desktop (gnome) loads completely, the entire system freezes - no mouse, no system response at all.
I power off the laptop, start it again and it boot, logins in and the desktop load perfectly. The system _NEVER_ freezes the second time it boots.
The only difference I can see is the second time the laptop boots, the video-boot screen (where the init services load) is only text mode. The first time is always graphical.
Anyone have any input? One thing I haven't done yet is to force text mode boot, which I will try tonight. But any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Oh, I am using the NVIDIA official driver and this issue was happening before I started using it.
Thanks.
Rob
