    Brian,

    Your gateway is not on your network. Either, your netmask is wrong --or--
    the gateway needs to be changed to the IP address of your DSL modems IP
    address; so the modem can forward.

    I've never configured a DSL modem before; but, if it already has it's
    gateway setup for the 142.179.210.1 then you just need to change your
    gateway to the IP of your modem.
