cant establish a dialup connection

    I use dialup to connect to the internet with. For
    quite some I've connected using a Best Data brand
    external serial modem. Just within the past week and
    a half I haven't been able to connect at all except
    for when I reboot into windows and use the win modem
    that came with the machine. Any suggestions? Comments?
