    Actually, I've learned that differently: "K" stands for x1024 like in KB
    (KiloByte = 1024 bytes) and "k" stands for x1000 (like km = kilometer =
    1000meters). Also, there's of course "M" (10^6) and "m" (10^-3) as
    prefix... ;-)
