    I don't buy it, Thomas. While I can find lots of evidence for my earlier
    comment (e.g. a T1 is 1.544Mbps = 1,544,000 bps but a megabyte (MB) is
    1,048,576), I cannot find anything whatsoever to indicate that using a
    lowercase "k" indicates 1,000 while an uppercase "K" indicates 1,024.

    While I can see that as a reasonable assumption for one person to make, I
    do not believe it is standard in any community or medium. Feel free to
    argue the contrary... I'm very convinced that I'm right, but I'm always
    willing to listen.
