I have a scsi raid controller 2120S with 4 scsi ibm 320 scsi drives
installed and working. The 2120S is the only raid card on the box and
it also has a some type of hot swap card which all the drives are
connected.
So how do I connect my new scsi DAT tape drive to this box? Will I
need another raid card to run the scsi DAT tape drive???

First, a really large number of the systems around me are still SCSI systems which use not only SCSI hard drives, but also SCSI DAT drive tape backup systems, additional SCSI hard drives which can be plugged in, but are not normally there, in mobile drive trays; as well as, in some cases actual SCSI CD-RW units. ... Re: Those were the days ... I only have one SCSI...Windows, once a while there would be an error dialog menu that says ...Windows saved user registry while an application or service was still using ...drives but they're mostly specialized server drives. ... (rec.games.computer.ultima.dragons)

But that flies in the face about data I/O speeds, as well as the requirement, as I understand things, that the CD device has to be a MASTER to be used for boot purposes if you are using, for example, the IBM install CD-ROM disks, or a modified version of this technique for custom boot CD-ROM operations. ... It is a two channel SCSI hba with 16 bit SCSI and PCI interface. ... as I tried to boot the new system from the SCSI disk it presents only "PRESS ANY KEY TO REBOOT' and stops. ...
