    Actually, I think Alexander meant to read and follow some of the
    documentation... Not all of it... I took a look here

    ~ and thought it to be very helpful, even for the novice.

    Skip right to "Preparing the parallel port"... then go on to "Loading
    the driver" and "Testing the installed driver"...

    Everything looked pretty straightforward and simple. The author even
    gives a few pointers.
