    Yes but I used an adapter...
    Just kidding.

    I installed Mandrake on a computer I gave to a friend family a few years ago, and they are still my friends. :-)

    I don't have much experience with Sony VAIO, but I think sound would be your biggest issue. In order to play MP3's you will need xmms-mp3 or
    something like, but that is not a standard package.
