Hi
I've search the achive but found no relevant information.
I would like to add an software RAID 1 to my existing System.
I have a system (FC1, Dell Precision 410 with 2x 650Mhz and 256 RAM)
with 3 80GB Disks (IDE) and a small SCSI-Disk where / and /boot is but
this disk I don't want to put onto the RAID disks.
only /home /var and /usr these are imported the rest of the system is
regulary backed up.
Can you point me out where I can find some information about that.
Does a software RAID1 is running on an SMP-Machine ?
Is there a comparision chart software raid and hardware raid
(performance ....) ?
Thanks for any information
Reinhard
